Luke, Kimberley and Ella at Anstey Hill
Luke and Kimberly had to post-pone their wedding due to Covid_19 . Due to be married Easter Sunday 2020 their dreams were dashed but ever positive and looking forward to their now January 2021 wedding they didn't want to leave the day that they were supposed to me married go unmarked. So they reached out to look for ways to celebrate their love from a safe social distance. Taking their dog Ella for a walk at dusk at a local reserve turned into a romantic photoshoot.
One of Kimberley's first questions to me is can we bring our dog? I was really excited about this , for anyone who knows me I love animals. So of course I said, " Yes bring your dog! Whats her name?"
Three's a crowd at an engagement shoot, unless one of you is a dog.
Ella, is her name. And I was fair warned that she is not the most well behaved. But when I met Ella I instantly fell in love with her. Beautiful, fluffy and just excited to be in the world!
I tried to pick a park that was quiet as not to distract Ella to much, but Easter Sunday made that pretty much impossible. With a little hiking to get some distance from crowds and constantly calling Ella's name (maybe 5000 times) we managed to get her looking at the camera.
Kimberly and Luke rescued Ella as she was given up by her owners who didn't want her anymore. A sad story, however, Ella is much better of now with her two humans that have so much love for each other and for her. 2 years later and they are a happy family, Ella will be the "dog of honour" at their wedding.
